Where We Are Now: Maps and Doorways, a public art project commissioned by Colby Arts, Greene Block + Studios, Waterville, Maine, 2022-23. During each month from September 2022 until May 2023, the public was invited to interact with the installation: taking polaroid selfies and putting them on an enlarged 1878 map of the city of Waterville to show changing demographics, voting for the “grain of their choice,” punching time cards and discussing how they earn their “bread,” erasing charcoal drawings with pieces of bread and composting; thinking about self care while not absolving employers, smashing phones, making jewelry, and writing letters to lost loved ones.
